October 19-25 is Coffee Exchange’s week-long 40th anniversary celebration!

Yes. You read that correctly. 40 Years. Coffee Exchange first opened its door in January, 1984, across the street, where Amy’s Place is today. The next iteration: when we moved to our current location and began “roasting coffee daily.” And then there was the Covid to-go window and the renovations leading to the upstairs seating and remodeling of the downstairs area while maintaining the character of the place.

It’s time to celebrate 40 years of iterations. During the week of October 19-25 we’ll have giveaways, sales, tee shirts and mugs, and more giveaways. Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates. Join us and former staff and customers as we celebrate Conversations Over Coffee.

SHARE YOUR COFX STORIES

Do you have memories of specific events - like the recent hawk that came inside, or an impromptu gathering during a snowstorm - that you’d like to share? Do you have photos from years or decades past? We want to see them! Please share any and all tidbits to stories@thecoffeeexchange.com which has been set up just to collect these memories. The goal is to compile it all together into one Coffee Exchange retrospective.

Please share those Coffee Exchange moments that changed our lives!
